Brandon Abbey | Founder and CEO | Member Board of Directors
Brandon founded Burstorm because he saw the shift to cloud computing and knew there must be a better way to provide enterprise clients with the right solutions. While he’s skilled in the art of the sale he’s been focused on developing the underlying software technology which will provide customers with the benefits of seeing many different cloud services while lowering the cost of sales for the cloud service providers. During his career he has worked with some of the largest technology companies in the world such as Google, Cisco, Ebay, Yahoo, Microsoft and many others implementing both their national and multi-national compute, storage, data center and network infrastructure deployments.
Edward Wustenhoff | Co-Founder and CTO
Edward co-founded Burstorm because he believes that although the variables around determining the right cloud services for our customers are many and complex, they are finite and solvable. He is responsible for all internal and external technology aspects of Burstorm. With over twenty years of IT management, technology and services experience, Edward brings depth and experience to the team. Prior to joining Burstorm, he worked at Applied Materials, Sun Microsystems, Netflix and Complete Genomics leading large scale infrastructure designs and deployments of compute, storage, data center and network infrastructure.
Lori Bedford | Head of Marketing and Business Ops
Lori brings to Burstorm more than 20 years of sales, marketing and channel experience in network, data center, compute and storage cloud services. Lori is responsible for executing Burstorm’s go-to market strategies, leading the company’s direct and indirect sales channels, and developing and managing the company’s marketing and partner programs. Lori is an accomplished and recognized sales and business development executive with a solid track record of creating and executing sales plans and inspiring teams to excellence. Lori joined Burstorm following an 8-year career with Sprint where she led sales teams supporting Sprint’s largest enterprise customers. Prior to Burstorm, Lori held VP and management positions at Sprint, XO Communications, Winstar and AT&T.
Leopoldo Toro | EVP East-US and LATAM
Leopoldo leads Burstorm’s sales efforts in the East Coast and Latin America. Prior to joining Burstorm, Mr. Toro was the CIO for Grupo Posadas, a global leader in the hospitality industry where he led Posadas’ migration project to the cloud from five disparate data centers to a world-class cloud service model — a move that eliminated operational bottlenecks, increased application availability, performance and security and transformed the business model from Capex to Opex. Before Posadas, Leopoldo was the Managing Director for AltiusPAR Solutions, a software and distribution Software-as-a-Service firm with customers in the US, Europe and Latin America.
Scott Goessling | VP Cloud Services
Scott currently leads Burstorm’s cloud service and solution insight teams working internationally with Enterprise clients, Service Providers, Consultants, Service Integrators and IT Infrastructure Architects/Designers. Prior to joining Burstorm, Scott worked internationally with business and technology executives to develop and implement cloud solution strategies in the UK, Asia, Europe, Mexico, South America, North America and Central America. Most recently, Scott was the Director of Cloud and Hosting Engineering at CenturyLink/Savvis where he led the post Savvis acquisition integration and enablement effort for over 740 Cloud and Hosting Engineers globally.
Scott has been involved in nearly every facet of data center, hosting, cloud and managed service industries. Scott has worked and lived internationally working with multiple global companies as they designed, built, and retrofitted datacenters internationally. Scott also has been part of several successful start-ups including a market leading network hardware innovator that was acquired for over $8 Billion. Scott’s perspectives include experiences as an end user, a thought leader in cloud solutions and infrastructure architecture and as a leader within multiple global colo, cloud and managed service providers.
Scott has a Bachelor in Applied Sciences degree from University of Missouri.
Bill Gutierrez | Legal Council
Bill has been with Burstorm since its inception and serves as general counsel, handling all of the company’s legal matters. A former director at Carr McClellan and legal counsel for Softbank Emerging Markets fund, Bill has decades of experience representing companies in complex transactional matters over a broad range of industries, including construction, real estate, venture capital, consumer products, medical, software development, print media, advertising, data center operations, cloud computing and e-commerce. Bill earned his bachelor’s degree from UC Berkeley, and his juris doctorate from the University of San Francisco, with honors.
